The USDA-ARS Carl Hayden Bee Research Center in Tucson, AZ focuses on the study of and control measures for Africanized bees and other honey bee issues relevant to the American Southwest.

The USDA-ARS Beltsville Bee Lab is located in Beltsville, Maryland, and is the main USDA Research facility for honey bees in the U.S.

Project Apis m. works with commercial beekeepers and growers to achieve healthier bees and increased crop yields.
